When my wife and I moved out of New York City and into the countryside of upstate New York, we really embraced the change of pace. In our younger days, the hustle-and-bustle way of living suited us just fine – we didn’t mind living in a cramped studio apartment if it meant living within walking distance from a world-renowned museum and every type of ethnic food imaginable.
But then came retirement, and our lives slowed down a bit. We found that living in the city was an annoyance – something that was to be endured rather than enjoyed. That’s when we moved upstate and bought a charming farmhouse. I made some small improvements like fixing the leaky roof and sprucing up the garden out back. My wife redesigned most of the interior, bringing in country kitchen accessories that reflected the true essence of the home’s character.
Every season of the year comes to life when we serve a meal on a symbol of country living. Before the meal is even served the rooster dinnerware prepares our appetites for some down home cooking.
Whether on a warm summer morning with bacon, eggs and sausage, or a crisp fall evening with a bountiful market harvest spread before us, the country rooster is right at home. Country rooster dinnerware can either remind us of where we are, or where we’d like to be.
